Key Aims
Engage learners through sports they enjoy or are curious about, build employability and life skills alongside physical and mental health benefits and provide qualifications that open pathways to further education, apprenticeships or work.
Knowledge covered within the programme includes:
Functional Skills: Tailored sessions in Math and English, linked to sports (e.g., budgeting for team expenses, calculating scores).
Sports Science Basics: Introductory lessons on anatomy, physiology, and nutrition.
Digital Skills: Using technology for sports analysis (e.g., video analysis, stats tracking).
Practical Training: Learners participate in a variety of sports (e.g., football, basketball, tennis, athletics).
Fitness and Well-being: Workshops on personal fitness, healthy lifestyles, and mental health

First4Sport Level 1 Award for Activators (Multi-Skills)
Active IQ L1 Award in Fitness and Physical Activity
Active IQ L1 Award in Active Healthy Living
Personal and Social Development
Life Skills: Time management, conflict resolution, and teamwork.
Career Pathways: Guest talks and visits to sports organisations, clubs, or fitness centres
Community Engagement: Organise or participate in community sports events e.g. stewarding at Southend United, supporting community coaches
Work-Readiness and Employability. Work Placements: Short placements with sports organisations or fitness centres.
CV Writing and Interview Prep: Focused workshops on building resumes and practising interviews.
